A workshop with Annie

I am excited to be teaching a class at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. It's called "Anyone Can Improvise" and it's for vocalists. What we will be doing is improvised group singing.

Free yourself! Don't be shy. You have something to contribute.

Explore your voice in new ways through group improvisational exercizes. You will work on listening and reacting sensitively to what is going on around you regarding groove, pitch, dynamics, harmony and improvisation. Essentially, we will be creating short, all-improvised all-vocal pieces. Discover how to contribute your unique and in-the-moment musical ideas feeling when it's time to be supportive and when it's time to take the lead.

The fee is $100 for three classes August 4th, 11th and 18th. It will be a blast and I can't wait to sing with you!
